4.0 out of 5 stars Great Guide to Film Schools, 23 Jun 1999
By A Customer
When I first read the reviews, just as all of you are doing right now, I was hesitant on buying this book. It turned out to be a great guide to the top film schools, and provided the necessary info for anyone aspiring to go to film school. The only problem I would state is the fact that it only focused on the graduate school, rather than giving it some insight into the undergrad programs.

3.0 out of 5 stars informative overlook, 9 Nov 2002
By A Customer
I found the Film School Confidential : The Insider's Guide to Film Schools quite informative book about some American film graduate programs, however, each course was dealt with quite briefly, so in some cases I was disappointed to find out there was no more information available than around 5-6 pages per school. I guess I was expecting a bit more inside information about the film courses, in the form of student opinions etc. However, on the whole, it is a helpful book to a person who has no idea of American graduate programs, their structure, content and cost, and who is thinking about studying on one of the courses mentioned in the book. And obviously, the book offers a slightly more objective look at these courses than the university prospectuses on offer.
