The first quotation finder that is ALL footnotes.This book is the culmination of over 20 years exploring the stories behind quotations that I have done for a BBC radio program I write and present called QUOTE ... UNQUOTE. It also reflects the great amount of help I have received from readers of my quarterly QUOTE ... UNQUOTE Newsletter - tracking down lost quotations and discussing origins. I believe it to be the first detailed book of - and about - quotations - if you like, it is all footnotes - giving the context and the background that most dictionaries of quotes leave out.
