5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! One of the best I've read in a while., 5 Aug 1998
By A Customer
From start to finish a great read! The main characters are all well thought out and you can't help but flinch when the heroes get in a tight spot. Lynn Flewelling has created a unique world and peopled it with intriguing characters, both good and bad. I've also read "Stalking Darkness" and I am eagerly awaiting the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spellbinding writing, I want to see more!, 17 Jul 2001
By A Customer
Like so many people, I'd been nagged into reading these books by a friend, so when I finally gave in and sat down with 'Luck In The Shadows' I'd made my mind up they couldn't possibly be as good as I'd been told....I was wrong, oh *so* wrong.

The characters are so rounded from the word go, you really care about what happens to them. In a couple of days, I'd read all three volumes, and just wanted more.

Lynn Flewelling is a very talented writer, producing entertaining fables for the modern day, with characters that you want to take home and live with. I await her new novel 'Bone Dolls Twin' with bated breath!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!, 27 April 1998
By A Customer
I read all the drafts of this novel before it finally went to press. I have, after years of recovering from the trauma, finally read the published version. Trust me, this is a great read. Even though I KNEW what was about to happen, I kept turning the pages and got to work 90 minutes late the next day. Buy it. Read it. Own it. Give it to young men who like to play with crayons or memorize prayers in Latin!
